Pregnancy Testing and Prenatal Services

Prenatal clinics are currently being offered at our Barberton and Arlington Road locations.

The Prenatal Clinic offers physical exams, lab tests, education and family support through social services throughout the pregnancy.

Physician services are available on a weekly basis and RNs are available for questions five days a week.

The Prenatal Clinic is open to all pregnant women, whether they have a Medical Card, insurance or no source of income.

Pregnancy testing is available to anyone who is at least one or two days late with their menstrual period, and an RN is available to answer questions at the time of the test.  No one is turned away due to inability to pay.

To schedule an appointment, please call (330) 375-2772.  Please bring in a current pay stub, Medical Card or insurance card.  The fees for the clinic are calculated on a sliding fee scale, based on income and number of people in the household.  Payments can be made for visits.

Folic Acid During Pregnancy

Folic acid is a naturally occurring B vitamin that helps a baby's neural tube - the part of a developing baby that becomes the brain and spinal cord - develop properly.  It must be taken before and during early pregnancy when the neural tube is developing.  Some studies suggest that folic acid may also protect women and men from heart disease, cervical and colon cancer and possibly breast cancer.
